I noticed a small sign on the Diesel pump last week saying it had Bio-diesel in it. I though some common rail diesel motors couldn't use bio-diesel, maybe I'm wrong.

I did drain the tank and clean everything in sight. Having refilled with fresh fuel i pressed the starter and the result was exactly the same doh! So back to basics thinks i. Took out the plug and tested it outside of the cylinder and it was only firing now and then, initially overuled as it was an Iridium one only fitted 2000 miles ago arghhhh. So returned from shop with new plug and now runs perfect.

Moral: Be careful what you buy from Ebay, though it could just be bad luck!

Frustrating probably, and giving everything a good celan can't be a bad thing...even if it didn't cure the problem.
