Tenere clutch and brake lever. Where to buy?

The stock clutch lever in Australia from Yamaha is $90 aus which is criminal. I found one from 'off the road' but they want 26 euros to ship it to aus which is 3 times the price of the part. Does anyone know any where else to get these parts.

I carry spare clutch and brake levers. I have not tried them yet but have it on good authority from others on this site that they are replacements from :clutch DRZ400 and brake XJR1300.

Hope this helps as you may be able to get these equivalents from a local scource.
I think I paid about 25 for the two.
You could contact a guy who has has a site called 'gear4bikes' as he got these for me if you still have problems.

Now send us some of your :sunny:

Thanks mate. I would love to send you our sun but it went away about 2 weeks ago. Three quarters of the state of Queensland is under water which is about the same as 7 times the size of the United Kingdom.

Steve - My XJR1300 and Tenere brake levers are not the same.......

The cost of OEM parts is a bit high, you could go fot something like the ASV unbreakable levers. They cost around 140 for the pair, but they are very very nice and you wouldn't need to worry about having spares. As US part they are probably available in Austrailia without the daft shipping costs.

I forgot to mention that it must be the 2004 model brake lever.
I hope it does fit as I do have a habit of braking levers and if I've been pottering around, blissfully unaware that the thing will not fit in any case then I could be in trouble. The one that I do carry does look very similar so I will trust past judgement on this issue.

Hope this clarifies the situation.

(...........and if I've been sold a puppy I hope that the person that originally said that this item fits is thoroughly embarrassed:moon:)
