Tenere Dyno results with DNA stg 1,2 and 3 with Leo Vince pipes.
Thought you guys might be interested to see what we achieved with the full set of DNA filters, powercommander and a set of Leo Vince exhausts.
Power output at peak RPM is up by around 20%. Not bad with a few bolt on mods. The dyno report below shows 3 graphs, all done with the same Tenere. The green line with 37.33 HP peak is an all stock bike, nothing added. The blue line shows 42.29 HP and what you should achieve with a stock exhaust system, powercommander and a full set of DNA filters. (DNA stg 1, 2 and 3). The red line shows what gains are possible with the full set of DNA filters, powercommander and a set of Leo Vince exhausts. Note the exhausts still had the quite inserts at the end in to reduce noise levels. Noise output is actually not that much louder than stock and I personally think you should not have problems with the law with that sort of noise output. A solid 1 to 2 HP gain was achieved with the pipes, right across the whole RPM range. I created a new fuel map for the powercommander also, so keep an eye out for it in the members section. http://www.quadparts.co.za/dyno/tenere-dna-leo.jpg |
Wow! Looks like the standard exhaust is quite good for flowing gas then!

Yes I have tested the combo you are after,
See the link below, and look at the Red line in the dyno report. The DNA stg1 and 2 with a PC will give you a nice torque gain at low to medium RPM, plus a nice HP gain across the whole RPM range. http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=12904 |
Nice work mate, the total package works well, the pipe sorted that mid range out.
I have added this fuel map in the XTZ ASK KEV map section. |
Tenere stg 1+2+3
Just to add my 2cents.This bike is completely xformed from stock to where it now is.I first did not think buying the Leo Vinces is worth the extra money. After I added them to my setup I can say it was money well spent. Thanks again to Freeze for all his hard work.

They are nice numbers on the dyno. How much did it cost you? I bought a set of TK pipes from Australia. Removed the air intake snorkel and fitted the tk pipes and got 47hp on the dyno. To confirm this Kev has seen the bike and seen the dyno sheet. I am not taking away from dna filters they make a great product but there is options. The TK pipes are around $900 aus. With this you get a single exhaust on the left and a exhaust/tool tube on the right very handy as it holds two tubes and tools. The pipes are made out of aluminium and are ceramicoted. Terry the owner of TK pipes previously was the manufacturer of GYTR pipes for Yamaha.

Just keep in mind that because of the high altitude my dyno is at, it consistently reads about 10 to 12% lower than a dyno at sea level. The 44.3HP we got on Jon's Z will be more like 49 to 50HP on another dyno. We can also probably get a HP or so more if we removed the quite inserts, or baffles as some call it, from the Leo Vince pipes. That would give this bike around 50 to 51HP.

You really need to ignore the numbers and look at the % gains from the different runs before and after any modifications.
Impressive gains Freeze, for what is still just bolt on parts. |
no image?
i did not see any image.
