Foam air-filter for Tenere

Saw this while perusing the Robber's of south Wales' website recently:

Not cheap, but could be worth it? It looks a lot like the Aus spec bikes oem filter (that is not available to order in Europe for some strange reason?!)...

Personally I still like the DNA filters, and they were very reliable in the dust on Heroes' - nothing came through, but then I was changing them every day... I say 'I' - I mean my spanner monkey of course, I was eating caviar and drinking fine wines...

Ta-ra!

I mentioned these a while back with this link, they are well known Oz filters.

This is the Off-the-Road filter:

it also costs around 50 euro and I think I will order from them instead of taking the risk of ordering from touratech and having to wait a few months.

... that's what I did: arrived a few days after payment. Dont forget to buy some filter oil also (not included).

Hi,
just have a look at this: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...&postcount=433
The aussies have a foam filter as original equipment. In this post is the original Yamaha part number. Asked my local dealer in Germany. He told me, if I can get the part number, he would be able to order it as a spare part.

Regards

The ADV post says or Teneres may have a different filter box? Im guessing ours is the same without taking the filter out? Any ideas of price over here for the filter?

would be interested in an aussie filter too

I can get these filters, the problem is the postage cost to the UK a killer.

Yeap i'd say those are a dead ringer for the filters we have here in OZ

Hopefully this weekend will see me making the bellmouth entry complete with pre-filter skin. I'll post some pics when if i get it right

Cheers
