There was surging on my 09...but actually it wasn't...turns out that the cush drive on these has something to be desired....but it is a cheap an easy fix ---ooooh rubber.

So check that out first, and is it certainly smoothed mine out a lot.

nice one but hopefully the cush drive should still be intact after 600 miles? I'll check it it out this weekend.

Needed a new bike and was torn between an 06 640 ktm sm with 8000 miles �3500 or a mint 09 xtx with 14 months warranty, 2 months breakdown cover, 1 owner, white and only 587 miles all for �3400. The clutch lever was a tad stiff but hopefully will ease with time but the bike handled well and was really comfy even today in 0.5C conditions gave it a proper wash when I got home (looks like new again). So far so good and can't wait to get back out (in warmer conditions).

That sounds like nice bike, Ive just bought a 08 model XTX 400miles on the clock done 250 miles in three days great fun.Just fitted DNA stage 1&2 filter
on what a differant best mod for money as Kev said he spot on,cans next enjoy.

hi, gareth, did you add a fueling device with the filters? Also where did you obtain them from and how much? Where could you really tell the difference, top end or bottom? I went out yesterday on mine and i have to admit it was top fun and handled really well could just do with a bit more power and i will be more than happy. Was your 08 a white one that was on ebay?
