12v socket

Hi all
Any one fitted a 12v socket (cigarette lighter) to a 660R?
Had a quick look on the weekend and so far the only place i can see to put one is under the seat???

You can get waterproof ones that will be out as long as the cover is closed, but i suppose if you want to use it all the time then under the seat is going to be the best place.

I fitted one to my XTR, fits perfectly on the left side of the bike. It is on the forward side of the frame tube (just above the cross tube) that runs up in front of the airbox.

See http://www.nippynormans.com/DIN-SIZE...info/BAS-SD14/

and you also need

It is a 30 minute job - I will get a photo later

Thanks mate, looks tidy but does the cigarette lighter(boy bit) not get in the way of your leg?

I have a few of these as well as the straight connectors

The DIN (BMW) type socket/connector is a much tighter fit than the standard auto cigarette lighter type.

The Powerlet products stuff is expensive compared to Nippynormans (BAAS products) but is higher quality and very durable.

Thats very cool, thanks mate. Will be looking to getting one of those definatly.. Cheers

This is the one I use - waterproof and the plug locks in place - brilliant.
