Question about Touratech Pannier Mounts

Spent the weekend finally mounting a pair of Pelican Cases (blagged from work for nowt) to my SW Motech pannier frames, using the Touratech puck mounting system.

Seems to work OK and looks pretty neat, I just have a quick question for anyone that has used the Touratech puck mounting system before.

How tight should I mount the pucks to the pannier? As they work by effectively screwing a self tapping bolt straight into the plastic pucks I was a bit wary of over tightening them for fear of stripping the puck. Is it something I should worry about or should I just tighten away until the won't tighten anymore?

From what I remember, the screw they supply is pretty coarse so stripping it would be quite difficult.

My dad used to say, tight's tight and too tight's fxxxed - never helped me to understand how you tell at the time.

As long as it is tight, and there is no movement in the assembly you should be OK. If in ay doubt, drill the hole and put a bolt through with a nylock nut - then seal each end with sealer to keep the water ingress down.
