Hydraulic Clutch System

Has anybody had any experience of using one of these set ups?
I broke my left wrist a few years ago motocrossing, and my XT is really making it ache.
My last bike was an R1150GS, and although it had a bigger dry clutch set up, cos it was hydraulic it had none of the acheing wrist problems that I am suffering now.
I have noticed and followed a link to a site that is selling these systems, but thought i would try and get some feedback about them before parting with my hard earned cash.

I've dream't about getting one of them Magura Hymec Hydraulic Clutch after testing it somewhat on a KTM at the fair this year (looked like the same one), think it was quite similar to the one you can get to the XT. But I just don't yet think it is worth 209 for me that is... But for you I guess it is.

Off the road has it for 209 right now but I've heard some negative things about em.

Thanks for reply, it was the one on Off-road I was looking at.
Clutch is the only thing that is spoilling my enjoyment with the bike at moment.
Gave the cable a good oil up tonight which has helped a lot, but still makes me wrist ache.So I think that I will prob just have to dig deep for a set, especially as I would prefer to get proper filters for it rather than replace a working component (all be it a little on the heavy side :-)

I had the Magura clutch on my XT and it is amazing but quite pricey. If you need it and you have the money: go for it!!!

By the the way, be careful because many people have managed to destroy the hose because it tends to touch the header if you don't pay attention when you fit it.

Thanks for the assistance, will check out the Magura
.
The delivery time from Off the road is pretty slow then.

Nice one for the link to this mod, i am going to try it out shortly as my feeble broken wrist is still aching :089:, even after freeing up the cable a bit by lubing it up.

Digging up old thread, but am a little confused. As installing the magura, then in the manual states for proper functioning to disconnect the clutch lever spring. Is this really needed and why? When disconnected then the slave cylinder indeed pulls the lever to end. Disconnecting the spring means it won't have resistance on the slave as the spring wants to pull the lever other way?
