Windscreen Spoiler Yamaha Xt660 Tenere

Hi,

has anybody experienced with the Windscreen Spoiler Yamaha Xt660 Tenere from Touratech.??

I think in theory should be the best solution ...since is not very good to ride off road with taller or bigger windscreen ...and for long trip on road a better wind reflection would be highly appreciated..

Thanks for your comments.

Jaume.

I suggest gaffer taping a plastic or cardboard extension on your screen first. See how it goes and if you think the outlay for the Touratech extension will be worth it. The B&Q gaffer tape also comes off again without leaving a sticky residue!

Relying on somebody else's judgement is no good because they won't be the same height as you or sit with the same posture.

I've tried the plastic extension trick and would buy a Touratech extension if it was 20 but it's not worth what they're asking. I find that it doesn't improve things by much but I'm only 5'9" and probably get some benefit from the existing screen that taller folks don't get.

Edit: Probably not a B&Q in Barcelona but I'll keep the reference in as it may be useful for others.

Picked up a Double Bubble screen cheap off a Kwak ZX10 and going to fit in front of headlight to do the following:-
  1. cure turbalence problem i HOPE. Just awaiting arrival of longer fairing screws.
  2. Protect headlight from stone chips.

Hi
Went to work in Wales today(at Steek works) and after finishing decided to visit Touratech.

After the 150 mile ride I got tired of the peak vibration from my Tour X 2 helmet and decided to spend some money(something to do with the glorious sunshine!) and bought the Touratech windscreen spoiler for my Tenere.

On the blast back home over another 150 miles on the M4/M5 it reduced the peak vibration by about 70% so I think it was a good purchase albeit expensive. Further use will decide this for me or not.Otherwise it will be a costly additional fly swat!

See photos,
cheers

I've gone for the cheaper option of removing the peak from my tour-x. Now much much better but really missing the peak now that the sun is shining. Can't be too many days of sun left though!

I've just fitted an "Aero Trim" to my Tiger. The same company do a smaller version that looks to me like it would fit the Tenere
